The Sacred Lakes of Siecha is a mystical and inspiring place. Its three lagoons (Fausto, Amercia and Siecha) adorn the landscape among endemic frailejones, puyas and colobríes. The mist and its silence is an invitation to explore and be amazed by the majesty of the Chingaza National Natural Park. Its lagoons are part of the Sacred Lagoons of the Muyscas, Water was a life-creating element for their cosmogony, they likened it to a womb and in its waters they also performed the Ceremonia del Dorado (Golden Ceremony).

We begin the hike gaining altitude and visualizing the valley of Guasca, little by little we go into the moor until we reach the viewpoint of the three lagoons, visualizing the imposing secret nestled at the top of the mountain surrounded by imposing blades that protect them.

The tour will start on a road, going up to the entrance of Natural Parks where we will receive a talk from the park rangers, we will continue along the interpretive trail located at 3.3000msn where we can find all the moor vegetation, we will continue ascending to the viewpoint of the 3 lagoons located at 3.600 masl. We will have some time to marvel at its beauty and the unique paramo landscape. The return will be almost the same way, all downhill.

If you do not have a 4×4 you can leave your vehicle in Guasca and we will arrange a vehicle for an additional $250.000 for 1 to 7 prs, you must leave space for the guide who will pick you up in Bogotá or in La Calera or in Guasca.

Can I schedule groups?

Of course you can schedule your activity for Private Groups on any date, send us an email to info@exploraverde.co and we will send you a proposal.

What should I bring to the exit?

The weather is cold and humid, bring adequate clothing for walking, shoes with good grip, waterproof, hydration and snacks. Do not carry single-use plastic and if you do carry it, do not leave it on site.

Can I bring children and pets?

Yes, it is a walk suitable for children, as long as they like physical activity and nature, we recommend from 6 years old and pay as an adult. You can take your pet under these recommendations: always take it on a leash (do not let it loose because there is wildlife that may be sensitive to dogs), pick up their needs and return them with you, you can not leave it in the area.

If I take my own vehicle, do I have a place to park it?

Yes, you can leave it in a safe place, we will tell you where. They charge by the day.
